Wow

I've finally sucessfully updated my IPAQ to 2.2.5... and although I haven't yet taken it to the field, I did get to putz with it from the comfort of my home office.  All I've got to say is "Wow!"  BCN has come a long way from version 1.21.  All the features that I wanted are in there.  The map draw is even faster than the old version!

The only thing now that my Garmins have over my IPAQ is the hardware form factor--and I think the functionality that BCN gives more than makes up for it.  I can't wait to take this out into the trails!

I just wanted to say... great job!

I finally took my IPAQ setup out into the Anza Borrego desert for an overnight camp.  I also took out a 60csx and two Rino 530s.  The absolute best GPS system, I thought, was BCN!

Now, the user interface is so much better than Garmin's it isn't even funny.  The map display was incredibly useful... and I had access to more geocache data than was available on the handhelds.

There were a few gripes: the IPAQ (in Otterbox case) was far more cumbersome than the Garmins.  Also, BCN tended to lock up occasionally requiring me to reboot the IPAQ (I'm not sure if this is an IPAQ issue, a WM5 issue, a GPS issues, or a BCN issue).

But even with these annoyances, everyone in the party thought the IPAQ+BCN was a friendlier, easier-to-use platform than any of the Garmin units we brought out.

Again, great job, guys!
