I have been using BCN for hunting lately and I love it! One thing that would make my life a lot easier is to be able to mark or draw lines to show boundaries. Here is one example of what I mean http://www.wildlife.utah.gov/walkinaccess/lamb.php. I have been marking lots of waypoints to do this but it takes FOREVER.

One option which is a little involved but is free and works well for me:

You can do this using Google Earth, a Google Earth Add-on called GPS Visualizer and a program called GPS Utility.

First at www.gpsvisualizer.com you can download topo maps into Google Earth.

In Google Earth you can then draw a track or outline on the downloaded map (under the ADD tab). Then save the line as a KML file.

Then with gps utility (http://www.gpsu.co.uk/ you can convert the KML file to a GPX file.

The GPX file can then imported into Backcountry Navigator.

This is quite involved. I am still working on it. Nathan, is this a possibility or should I familiarize myself better with Google Maps in order to use ridgeway's method.

Yes, it's doable. The easiest thing would be to mark lines and then have a feature to turn it into a track.
