Nice addition.

Ditto on previous comments.  Nice to have a bigger area to make sure the maps are correct, faster, etc.  Also, I can create a map warehouse for future use.

I can see one area where this could sell as a stand alone.  I will usually buy a paper map to have as a backup to GPS.  (old Army habits die hard, that and my belief that Mr Murphy lurks around every corner)  If you could print the maps from the desktop version, that would be huge!

Question, in the PPC version, I can find a placename and hit OK to put it on the map and then draw a rectangle.  How do I do that on the desktop?  I don't see an Ok button.  I have been finding the lat/long and doing the size on the previous screen.

You can still do it. Desktop windows has an X in the upper right where there is an (OK) on the mobile version. Clicking the x will work until we can clean up the cosmetics.

Every time I start BCN DE I have to enter the activation code.  Is this the way it is suppose to work?  I am use to registering applications once and then they are good to go. Huh

Nathan, I don't know what I'm doing wrong....but, my laptop, running Vista, will find the GPS....It sees it in the Bluetooth manager....but will not assign a port.... I know it's me.... but, I can't manually assign a port for the GPS.  Just a Vista dummie!

I'll be vague since I can't see what you see.

Is it possible to "discover services" on the device and find one called "serial port profile"?

Back when my bluetooth gps was paring properly, this worked on XP and detection found it.
