Hi All,

On my iPaq hx2795 have a file BCNav2Log.txt that I can't figure how to stop from growing. It is in the My Documents folder, 1.3MB tonight, and I've deleted it before. Is there something I'm missing? The PC version is 13KB, so I suspect it overwrites each launch.

I have an occasional map issue where it won't redraw. Sometimes the map appears only in the square where the busy cursor was, the rest of the map view being remnants of the previous page/view. If I load another page and flip back to map, it usually loads, else load some places or tracks and it will redraw.

Has anyone tried loading large GPX files on WM5? I have one of those loggers, and can export to the iPaq in GPX, which would be fun to view, but can be pretty big. Curious with your experiences. I would be reading from an SD card.

Suggestions welcome, of course. I have enjoyed using BCN - these issues don't hold a candle to all the many good things about it. I don't want to sound like I'm whining...  Smiley

Thanks, Andy

If the file keeps growing, you have exceptions that are recurring during refresh. Please send that file from a session to support at backcountrynavigator.com. I can find out what's happening.

Thanks Nathan. That was a duh! kind of thing. The file had useful info about database having some corruption. I replaced the db this AM, and it seems fine now - empty log. No screen refresh issues, either.

When I copy the db from PC-created to the SD card directly, BCN is unhappy with the file. I could probably try Activesync copy, and I did try PPC File Explorer to connect to a shared drive on the PC via WLAN - slow as heck but it works. Suggestions? I have created a huge local DB. It's nice, but probably unnecessary. A newbie's excitement kind of thing.

Thanks for your help!

Andy
