I connected with my GlobalSat BC-307 Compact Flash GPS Card but what is this "Position Error"? And what does it mean?

Thanks.

It is an estimate of how far off the GPS Position *could* be, based on how good your fix is.

If the fix isn't very good, it could be a hundred feet or more. BUt it could be less than 20 feet when the fix has settled. It is usually on the conservative side.
