Here's a couple more questions, mostly minor stuff -
1. Do you have to save a track while tracking is still turned on? I've recorded 2 tracks so far, but I lost the second one (tried to save it, but when I looked at the file all it had was waypoints). I'm pretty sure I turned tracking off before saving the first one, and it worked fine. On the second one, I might have "cleared selection" before attempting to save the track - would that make the track disappear? What else might cause one to lose a track? This was a pet peeve of mine with an older Garmin tracking GPS that I used to use, I was always losing tracks with it and never did figure out how to prevent the loss.
2. Do you have to be stationary to mark waypoints? I tried to mark a couple while moving and didn't get the dialog box, and don't find any waypoints now that I've stopped.
3. What's the order of colors for satellite clarity - like this?
White bad (how does it know its there, from the internet download?)
Yellow poor
Tan fairly poor
Orange fair
Green good
1. Saving a track turns tracking off in recent versions. Some don't like that, so it will be going back to leave tracking on after a save in the next version. If you clear a track before it is saved, it will be lost.
2. Marking the screen is difficult while moving. GPS->Mark GPS Waypoint saves the current GPS Position.
3.
