Wonder if anyone has tried the tracking mode in 2.6.4. Works great the redraw is faster. I am just wondering about my Ipaq 6945 GPS. Nathan and I have discuss this. Anyone else getting their track lines off by serveal hundred feet??? Usually have this problem at the 500' viewing screen. Nathan and crew continues to do a great job.

I am using a HP iPaq hx2795 WM5 with bluetooth Qstarz Q1000 GPS. This has been a great combination for me.
I tried the new version out on some brief runs today. It works much better when moving at speed. The GPS location point is removed from the last track point. The actual location does not wait for the tracking redraw, which is where it would fall so far behind, previously. This was not a problem before on foot, nor with Tracking Options Threshold set for the type of travel to be encountered (larger distances for higher speeds).
I did not experience any tracks off by hundreds of feet, but I did experience some anomalies:
I noticed that with 10' x 10 sec set, my assumption being that BCN will mark triggered by the first occurrence of either of the two, that now we seemed to miss some marks in the track. Less granularity at speed. With 10x10 set, some distances, maybe 250' at 50 mph, were drawn with straight lines, where I thought they should have been shaped more gradually and curved. These may have been 10 sec intervals, I didn't monitor that closely. Even following a removal and reload of the track from map, these "shortcuts" seemed persistent. I haven't had a chance to look at the data, but I assume it is in there. There something in there causing this, or I am triggering a track point with the greater of 10' or 10 sec (just taking a stab at the problem.)
Just providing feedback. For me,it works fine in most applications. I do not use it for driving, but I might for off-road motorcycling in the future.
Thanks! Andy

Today I tested some more, and I believe what I am seeing is the BCN engine doing as well as it can, under the circumstances.
Before, when BCN tracking couldn't keep up with speed, we were faced with the dilemma of adjusting the distance/time thresholds of tracking to accommodate. Now it will do the tracking and keep up, but tracks may fall outside the thresholds (if they're small) as necessary to keep up. Otherwise it seems to behave as always. If the thresholds are appropriate for high speed, it works fine, too. Granularity at speed is the problem.
The accuracy seemed fine, except when straight lines are drawn between sections where it was "keeping up" and doing as best it can under the circumstances. This may be the better choice of the two problems. Or adjust the distance thresholds to be greater, and you'll have less granularity at all times. 10'/10 sec thresholds show a little roughness at speed (40 MPH, as BCN rties its best), but decent on foot.
I also noticed, that the entire track line isn't redrawn (animated) on my iPaq from start to finish with each screen or gps position update, saving a whole lot of lag-time. It seems cleaner and faster this way, even though the redraw was a "cool" factor when hiking.
