Hello.

I used this software to mark monitoring wells for groundwater sampling. One site in particular is vast in size, and has tremendous terrain variations. I worked in bright sunshine, and rain. Overrall, it was a breeze to set up and use.

Here are a few issues:
Reading the Ariel in daylight is a lot harder than the topo, is there a way to inverse the color scheme???  Smiley

I cannot seem to export my waypoint coordinates!  Huh I would also like to IMPORT (XY data?) from my GIS dept. so that I don't have to locate and mark my self. (we use beacon GPS on some sites to generate the XY data)

I cannot effectively show someone a map on the monitor, only the PDA. A desktop viewer version would be awesome! If you are programming in .net, this should be a lot easier to do these days.

GPS reconnect, I had to turn the power off a lot (I only had 1 battery) and had to manually reconnect the gps.

I had to use the pen to mark waypoints, did I do something wrong? I would rather use the absolute current GPS coords for this, rather than moving my well 10ft over!

Other than that, those are my thoughts.

While you seem to be working on the tracking feature, please keep waypoint import/export in mind!!!! Thanks!

Great software by the way, I will be presenting this to my co-workers in a couple of months. I develop field-based data import software for the pocket pc, and this beauty goes hand-in-hand with environmental engineers.

I can answer one thing right away. If you want to mark a waypoint based on a GPS position, use Mark Gps Point on the GPS menu. That brings up the same form, but uses the current GPS Position.

My "Mark Gps Point" is greyed out. How do I activate it?

Looks like a bug.  Sad Should be enabled if you have a valid map file loaded.

I'll see it gets fixed as soon as possible.

Answered my question on Saturday evening at 7:00PM? Nathan, you need to get a life. Grin

I booted BN again just to see if I had done something wrong. The "Mark GPS Point" is greyed out.(although I still wouldn't rule out me making some mistake)
The "Help" tab is also greyed out.
All of this is not a complaint, As it stands you have a great program.

I just wanted to add that my "mark waypoint" and "help" buttons are also grayed out.  I'm still using the trial version and was wondering if this might be the cause? This software has really been fun to use and I plan on registering it very soon. The other problem I seem to have is that when I'm in the list section and hightlight a waypoint, if I hit the "GoTo" button nothing happens but if I hit the "Center" button it takes me directly to that waypoint.
Thanks,
Ellen

Mark GPS Waypoint should be working in 2.0.6.

The help button will be available when we have some good help files completed.

The Goto button is meant to add a point as a GOTO waypoint. If the GPS is running you will be able to see the effects on the map and Nav screen.
