“Unhandled Exception…Access to the registry key…is denied”
Hello to Nathan or anyone who might have a resolution.
I’m getting the error when I start BCNDE, but so far if I click “continue” BCNDE appears to work w/o any problems. This is a brand new installation on Vista. The registry key is a Class SID ending in “…74b4”
Don’t let me down here Nathan I “sold” my father-in-law on your app and this is his install.

Fortunately, someone has run into something similar.
One way to fix it is to Run as Administrator on Vista.
Here are some references on the subject:

The user that is running BCNDE
IS
an administrator. Are you suggesting that "Running As an Administator" would result in different behavior?

Yes. I'm not saying it makes sense - but it is Vista. By default, Vista seems to run applications with lower privileges. Certain registry keys don't allow access.
Since this problem has occurred more than once, I'll try and work around it in the next Desktop release.
