Hi Nathan
Not sure if it is with 2.05 or my HP 6515. After I started using the new version had a gray out problem too, but not sure it the 6515 backlight time out on me. Seem more like the 2.05 version because I had to do a softreset. then it work ok for a couple minutes and did it again. Use in sat 7-8-6 did not have gray out problem today. But lost all data maps from my sd card, but again did a softreset and 2.05 pick them up. Again not sure if is my unit or the newer version causing the problem.

It's hard to say for sure, but it could be your SD card acting a little flaky, although it apparently hasn't failed completely yet.

I've had instances where all the files dissapeared from my SD Card momentarily. They came back, but it may be a matter of time before it fails completely or partially. Note I put much more use on my SD Card than any sane person should, but some last longer than others.

There are powersave settings you can adjust for when the backlight dims and when your unit powers off on battery power.

What are the symptoms when you lose the maps from your SD Card?

Not really sure now because It has not happen since I reported it. Sd card is new and not much data on it. And I did a reset for the unit. Power was not low. not really sure what happen. Seems to be working ok now ON the Hp 6515 New toys sometimes take time to learn.  But it was weid because it started right after I downloaded the 2.05
Have a great weekend
