How about some sort of measuring tool. Just a straight line measurement would be handy.

I'll look at this.

As it is, you can tell the distance from the GPS position to the cursor position in the point menu. But for what you described, you really need to mark two points.

Context drop down menus are helpful for some of these things. But because they are hard or impossible to use when the Pocket PC is in a drybag or otterbox, we've shied away from making any feature too dependent on them.

Done! In 2.1.5.

Trying View->Select->Line or Multiline and select a few points.

Backcountry Navigator is such a good product that asking for more seems almost ungrateful but..
..in addition to the distance tool, a way to measure area would be great.

Do you mean the area of a box, (doable) or the area of a sketched polygon (a bit tougher)?

Is there a way to change the color or size of the font for the distance?  Kiss

By the way this program just keeps getting better and better.
Thanks so much and keep up the good work.   Grin

Not yet, but it is doable.

My old eyes have a hard time reading the number without really zooming in.  Don't know if it is an issue for anyone else given everything you are doing but it might be nice. Cool

It's not yet customizable but I've made the font a bit bigger in 2.1.7.
