Some of the early versions of 2.0.8 created multiple shortcut icons in Programs. Just think, some time ago, people complained that we didn't have a shortcut icon. Now, after installing a few versions, you may have too many.

Symptom: Go to Programs. You will see BackCountryNavigator 2, along with BackCountryNavigator 2 (2) . . .  BackCountryNavigator 2 (7), etc. There might even be a few more on the Start Menu.

To clean up, you will want to find the directory that has all these shortcuts. Push the explore button on Microsoft ActiveSync. Choose My Windows Mobile Device (or equivalent), and browse to \Windows\Start Menu\Programs.

You will find multiple icons with numbers. Delete all the ones you don't want. Please do save one, but most people won't want any more.

Hope this helps!
