Download maps for track

I usually load a track into BN from a gpx file and then select and download the maps along the track using the rectangle select tool. These tracks are hundreds of miles long and I don't want to download 1000's of tiles so I have to select many small rectangles which takes a long time. Is there a way (or would it be possible to implement a way) to tell BN to download all the tiles along a track?
