Grid size?
I would like to know the size of the grid squares that appear in place of the offline map tiles when zoomed in beyond the last level available.
Knowing the grid size would help estimating distance to a waypoint, in addition to the scale bar.
I would prefer a metric grid if possible.
Update: I tried counting grid squares at the different zoom levels, but the grid size seems to change with the different map sources...

Unfortunately, converting a grid size to a physical distance is not math you can do in your head.
It is actually a pretty complex algorithm that measures the distance in the ruler you see now. Even at the same zoom level, the distance will vary by the location.
I may have to look for some other way of accomplishing what you need.

An optional range graticule centered on the current or last position would help.
