Is it possible to scan maps into desktop version then into mobile versions????

I have several scaled printed maps I would like to scan into the Desktop version then into the Mobile version. Does anyone know how to do this????? I have a scanner but don't know the steps to follow. If anyone knows how then please list steps and all will benifit.

No, unfortunately. What kind of maps are they?

I just learned how to do this in Google Earth using Image Overlays.

Garmin has a quick tutorial on it.

You can ignore anything Garmin specific and jump right to the Google Earth portion.

I was wanting to use a private Timber company map that shows their roads and boundaries. This maps has a lot more roads then what is available over the net. The boundaries are very important keeping one off private land.

I would also like to use the Delorme topo maps.

How about city maps showing various street names and landmarks.
