Kayak routes in Hatteras Lagoons

  My family recently spent a week in Hatteras, NC. It was our first ever trip to the Outer Banks, and I FINALLY got to
kayak !

My wife purchased a Sea Eagle inflatable kayak, and despite my misgivings about it, I was able to navigate nicely through the inland waterways & even through the calm Pamlico Sound waters as well.

Of course, I got many of my routes with B.C.N. on my Axim x51. Now home, I've uploaded the routes to Desktop B.C.N. and clipped a section to show here.

We also tracked our route while traveling on the Ferry between Hatteras & Ocracoke islands, waypointed cool sites, found several geocaches, and marked some "secret spots" for our (hopeful) return !

  If anyone would like the files for OBX, contact me. I know others have talked here of sharing the map files instead of taking the download times. ALthough, Desktop BCN has DRASTICALLY simplified that task.
