Offline Maps Don't Downolad
I'm on the trial version on Android 2.2, it is not expired yet. I wanted to download some offline mytopo.com maps. I select the area which I want to download, then start the download, but it never gets past 0%.

Three possibilities:
Situation 2 is of special interest because we are wondering if there are particular devices that fail often in this way.
I am using an HTC EVO Froyo (2.2) and have the same problem
Since I have 2.2 , and it works fine, I'm hoping to get more information.
Do you have any comment on the three things I mentioned?
Also:
Is it showing some tiles in preview mode?
What Map src is it?
What is the number x in 0% of x tiles?
Hi, reducing the map size fixed the issue for me. I have another problem, however: I recorded a track by pressing the red button, then pressed the blue button at the end of my track, saved everything as a trip. When I re-load the Trip file, the track isn't there. I didn't save any waypoints--is it dependent on waypoints at the beginning and end, maybe? Thanks for your help.
I suspect it is there, just not in the trip you expect.
The keyword is "saved everything as a trip".
There isn't a menu item for "save everything as a trip", only "Start New Trip File". (I could go into why by talking about relational databases).
So that track is saved in the trip you started before marking the track. If you don't remember giving it a name, it might be in "default".
Yes, the two trips were both in one of the two trip files. Thanks.
Hi Nathan, I've noticed something which although small has been causing me massive amounts of confusion--losing maps. The green dots on "Offline - Choose map Source..." don't work. Say you have MYTopo as the the visible map, the green dot will be on USGS. Try it, you'll see what I mean. It doesn't conform to normal Android I think.
Btw, how do you delete offline maps?
I do see it. I'll see if I can fix it or do something better.
I'll get back to you on the map cleanup. It needs some more testing and streamlining before we can release it.
