Tracking

By Gurnee Glenn - Posted on 26 January 2008

My iPAQ continually redraws the tracks from start to the present position. Is there a way to track while just adding to the trail and not redrawing it?

Go look at my post in troubleshooting with BCN 2.5.9. Think Nathan is working with this. Because, I have told him the redraw of the tracking line causes a lag in position of the track too.

Thanks. I would think that just adding a data point in the data file and only moving the location arrow would allow the processor to work a little faster on location updates especially with a long track.

What can be done most easily now is to go to the list page and edit the active track so that it is not visible.

When you create the track, though, it starts out visible, so this isn't the easiest permanent solution.

What I have been doing is go to Action/GPS/Track/Save and it starts a new track while leaving the old one on the screen. This only redraws the new track and I still can see the whole route traveled. Not the best solution but it works. The tracks can then be stitched together after downloading to my computer.
