Waypoint Icons

By machunter - Posted on 11 November 2009

Hi all

I am a few days into my trial version and I think BCN is awesome and fits my needs very well. I see that by default BCN creates a triangle as a waypoint icon, is there any way to choose other icons to use? I seen in some of the tutorial screenshots there is also a cache icon..I'm guessing the program uses this icon when you import a .gpx file? Any way to create your own custom icons? Any help is appreciated

Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,

It's true that the icon will be different for an imported geocache or for some of the downloaded places, but the ability  to choose it for each waypoint is not yet there. It's something I've wanted to do when I've had my priorities shifted.

Thanks for the fast response! I have used BCN alot this week(hunting)and have been playing around with it. I looked at the inner workings of a .db3 map file and figured out by simply manipulating the "waypoint type" field, I can get the icon of my choosing on the map. Of course I'm limited to whatever icons are programmed into BCN (I think). So my question is, can you give me the names of all the "waypoint types" currently programmed into BCN?
